Thanks for your feedback so far. It is really helpful. It shows that you are not much interested in enhancements for SNAP Desktop. Also, you are not interested in a new and faster version of GPF or a cluster which could improve your processing. This is surprising to me. At least I thought a better GPF would generate more interest. The survey shows that all of you are interested in a super-resolved S2 product. And I can tell you that I'm already working on this. Also, you are interested in support of more data formats and the support merging Sentinel-2 tiles and the support of DL&ML models. A generic tool which allows to download data from multiple data providers seems to be attractive to you. I will take this into account in my further developments. You can still provide your feedback. Visit the questionnaire and let me know. Thanks again for your feedback. |

In the last weeks I have posted a SNAP tutorial per day on social media. I have now collected all in a blog post. The tutorials cover a range of different topics, and there are tutorials for beginners and experts. Are you aware of other great tutorials? Share them in the comments below the blog article. |

ESA Provides Landsat-5 Collections Over Europe and North Africa |
ESA announced three new collections of Landsat-5 data now available to the public. The data, sourced from ESA’s archive, includes high-quality, cloud-free images, making it valuable for geospatial applications. These collections provide comprehensive coverage of Europe and North Africa, enhancing access to historical satellite imagery for various applications such as research, environmental monitoring, agriculture, forestry management, urban planning, and environmental protection. |

Moon Observation with Sentinel-2C |
The Copernicus Sentinel-2C satellite captured its first image of the Moon on 20 September, showcasing its versatility beyond Earth observation. This image, intended for calibration, revealed notable lunar features like the Copernicus and Tycho Craters. The satellite, launched on 5 September 2024, will regularly image the Moon to ensure the accuracy of its Earth observation data. This process helps detect and correct any performance changes in the satellite’s instruments, maintaining precise radiometric accuracy throughout its mission. |

Better Climate Projections by Combining AI With Satellite Data |
The introduced novel approach integrates artificial intelligence (AI) into Earth system models to enhance climate projections. By combining high-resolution satellite data with AI, the researchers aim to improve the accuracy and speed of climate models, addressing current limitations. This method allows for better representation of complex climate processes and has the potential to create more realistic digital twins of the Earth system. |
