Hello!
I thought it would be nice if we have a space were we can brielfy introduce ourselfs. A space where we can share a little more about who we are and tell about the amazing things we do in the Earth observation domain.
Some questions you may answer to get your thoughts flowing:
Who are you? Where are you from?
What is your profession or are you still a student?
What are the current tasks you are working on?
Welcome!
Hi everyone, I'm Ben, an oceanographer and marine EO scientist. I'm from the UK, but now live in Darmstadt, Germany and working for a company called Innoflair. Most of my time is contracted to EUMETSAT to deliver their Copernicus Marine Training Service, so I do a lot to support users working with products from both Sentinel-3 and 6.
I'm currently exploring lots of ideas around developing learning modules on ocean colour retrievals and validation, SST skin effects and diurnal warming, and altimetry corrections and retracking. Making beautiful data visualisations and exploiting new shiny toolkits is always on the agenda though!
Cheers, Ben
I start introducing my self
